Myofascial Release
Are you looking for Myofascial Release in the Enumclaw area?
Myofascial Release is a type of soft tissue therapy using moderate, timed, sustained pressure. This form of massage concentrates on releasing tight connective tissues. When the connective fascia become tightened, it can wreak havoc on the muscles by keeping them in a shortened (nearly contracted) state which causes a great deal of pain. Basically, this technique helps to relax contracted muscles, and is a relative of Trigger Point Therapy. “Myo” means muscle and “fascia” means band. This form of massage is used to treat back pain, headaches, neck pain, sports injuries, adhesions and some types of chronic pain. The leading authority of this technique is John Barnes, PT.
Call Mike Gibbons, LMT, at (360) 259-2895 to discuss including this technique into your massage therapy treatment.
